Heading North on State Highway 10

  • Travel past the blue sign signposted “Mangonui and turn off the Highway at Beach Road
  • Take a sharp left turn at Mabel Thorburn Place – this takes you into Mill Bay
  • You will see Acacia Lodge Motel on the edge of the bay

Heading South from Kaitaia & Cape Reinga on SH 10

  • Travel through Cable Bay and Coopers Beach areas
  • Just past Coopers Beach turn left at Mill Bay Road (you will see our sign with the swimming pool on it on the corner)
  • Continue along Mill Bay Road about 1 km and our motel is on the right on the waters edge.

From Mangonui Village

  • Follow the waterfront North (keeping the harbour on your right) until you get to Mabel Thorburn Place
  • Turn right into Mabel Thorburn Place – this takes you into Mill Bay
  • You will see Acacia Lodge Motel on the edge of the bay
